Watkins Glen Area Chamber of Commerce is a voluntary membership organization comprised of businesses and professionals whose mission is to advance economic success in Schuyler County and for our members through support, promotion, and education.

Small Business Development Center – Binghamton University (SBDC) can provide technical assistance whether you are looking to start a business or grow your business. Talk to the professionals at the SBDC for assistance in identifying funding opportunities, preparing for e-commerce, developing marketing plans, assessing product viability, complying with licensing & regulatory requirements as well as other important small business factors.

Empire State Development (ESD) is New York State’s economic development agency. The organization is comprised of highly qualified professionals who help businesses: start up a company in New York State; relocate to or establish a presence in New York State; expand already existing operations in New York State; retain and enlarge their workforce in New York State; and compete more effectively and profitably in the domestic and global marketplace.

New York State Department of Agriculture & Markets’ mission is to foster a competitive food and agriculture industry that benefits producers and consumers alike. They work to promote a viable agricultural industry, foster agricultural environmental stewardship, and safeguard our food supply.

Chemung-Schuyler-Steuben Workforce New York (CSS-WFNY) is a workforce development organization dedicated to assisting individuals with greater employment opportunities and providing businesses with a talented and skilled labor pool.

New York Business Development Corporation (NYBDC) is a complement to conventional banking, working in partnership with banks to provide term loans, many of which do not meet the requirements for traditional financing. NYBDC’s goal is to be more creative in underwriting. In many cases, NYBDC includes multiple participants, SBA guarantees, flexible amortization, and long-term payouts.

New York State Electric and Gas (NYSEG) supplies electricity and natural gas to Schuyler County, with the exception of the Village of Watkins Glen electricity. NYSEG offers incentives in the form of rate discounts and funding assistance to promote load growth within their service territory and to help make the Upstate New York region an attractive place to do business.

New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) is a public benefit corporation. Formed in 1975 by the New York State Legislature, NYSERDA’s mission is to advance innovative energy solutions in ways that improve New York’s economy and environment. NYSERDA offers incentives and technical assistance to assist businesses and communities.

Regional Economic Development & Energy Corporation (REDEC) and the REDEC Relending Corporation (RRC) are not-for-profit corporations that provide gap financing to start-ups and expanding businesses in Schuyler County.
