Schuyler County Partnership for Economic Development (SCOPED) will host a Craft Beverage Roundtable on Thursday, June 29, 2023, beginning at 3:00 p.m. at the Harbor Hotel in Watkins Glen, NY.
This informational session is for all craft beverage business representatives who are interested in the inaugural Craft Beverage Micro-Grant Program, available now through Empire State Development and the State of New York.
ESD’s Craft Beverage Micro Grant Program aims to increase the production capacity, business infrastructure, and profitability of businesses licensed to produce wine, beer, spirits, hard cider, and mead by providing matching funds for equipment purchases and facility upgrades.
Program funding is available for capital grants of up to $50,000 each to support:
New equipment purchase(s),
New infrastructure and/or facilities expansion and/or upgrade
Clear expansion of existing equipment and/or a facilities upgrade
Projects must take place at a licensed location where production occurs. Licensed/permitted locations that do not have any production taking place on-premise will not be eligible for funding.
Attendees will hear from state representatives, Omar Sanders, Southern Tier Regional Director of Empire State Development, and Stefan Fleming, Director of Industry Development, Craft Beverage. They will provide an overview of the program, answer questions from attendees and provide key input to businesses planning to apply for this grant.
Schuyler County Partnership Executive Director, Judy McKinney Cherry, along with Kerri Green, Senior Economic & Community Development Specialist, will provide an overview of the grant system, grant writing FAQs and important steps applicants should be aware of.
Each attendee will receive tools and resources to assist them with the grant writing process. The Craft Beverage Micro-Grant application is due July 28, 2023, and is available through the Consolidated Funding Application (CFA) portal.
Craft Beverage businesses that are current investors of SCOPED are welcome to attend this session at no charge. Not-yet investors will be charged a flat fee of $500 for their company representatives to attend, which will be applied towards their 2023 investment to SCOPED.
Pre-registration is required. For more information and to register, contact the Schuyler County Partnership: schuylercountypartnership@gmail.com or (607) 210-6362.
